Hello! This is a blog made by BIHS (Brooklyn International High School) student. We are posting about our portfolio project and different topics but connected from One Idea, BIHS doesn’t take any test but we do have one big portfolio to present all the things we learned from different classes instead. And We Are Group 2, the big idea of this portfolio is about “Star Wars.”
How Do We Found Our Alien Animal Zogorio’s DNA?
If you look at the picture that has our animal and its DNA on it, you might think this is crazy but the fact is it just simply easy. To be able to find the DNA of the animal we just have to go backward from the protein back to the DNA.
To make a protein, mRNA has to travel to DNA and get information. Then, mRNA travels to ribosome to make protein. Protein is made out of a lot of amino acid. Now to find our animals DNA, we have to work back words. We start with amino acid chart.
Using this amino acid chart, we can find the mRNA. When we find the mRNA, we can work back words and find DNA. Just know that there is no U (Uncial) in DNA.

The War Between Humans And Werewolves
Introduction
In 2077, human and werewolf moon it is declared a war. After 10 years of this war, humans are lives on March. After some years, humans have been able to make a better life than anyone in the world, and to maintain this life, we must above all do not trigger a war that will lead to the end of the world, they decided to keep this war secret. And in 2120, he needed a rock called “Konar” to more developed technology. This stone that only exist on the moon, so it needed to send a dozen Robot mission to find it and bring it. D3 and R2 have made a small dialog that talks about this war.
R2: What’s new R3?

R2: Is what they can bite with the wolf tooth in the day?
D3: Yes, they can use their teeth as anyone they want.
R2: So they are too dangerous for humans.
D3: yeap, for his tooth also have a very powerful venom that can kill a human in two days if he does not have good deals.
R2: I would like to know more about their history.
As you want I’ll tell you a little story this: There very long time, the human had discovered the moon and wanted to live there. At the first time of his visit, he has found one. But for several visits, he understood that there were many alien. The Aliens were werewolvesand they signed a treaty of peace.
After this act the werewolves came to earth and they live in peace with rules to be respected because they can control the night. A moment later, they had a little misunderstanding with humans because they broke the rules. These latter causes a war between the two species. This war a little hard and has always opposed the human and wolf from the moons. To make each one has a hatred for the other and has established its border and limitations. Since then every human on the moon landing that will kill.
R2: Why not go to war with them now that we have powerful technology?
D3: It’s not that simple because when were we are, a small war could lead to the end of the world. We have technology that can destroy an entire planet and also have it. so everyone avoids using it to push back the end of the world.
R2: How did owns this powerful technology?
D3: Because there are half human and it possesses a certain intelligence of the human. And I have to leave you because I have a little work to do.

What Were The Steps To Make Your Movie?
To able to make our Math movie, we spent 2 and a half weeks on the process of making problem, solving problem, filming and editing. There are 7 steps for the whole process.
1. Scene selection
We have to choose one scene from “Star Wars”.
2. Problem selection
We choose either Trigonometry ratio and Mirror reflection to start crating the problem. But we could choose both of them to make the problem more complicated.
3. Creating problem
After choosing scene and problem we started to create and making the problem by working together in a group, We used what we learned to make up a problem with solutions.
4. Solve the problem
Right after we have the problem we solve the problem as a group and assure the result is correct. We also check it may time before move further to the next step.
5. Filming
This step is really important, we have to make a plan and script for everyone in group to make sure that they know what they have to do and what they are going to say on the video. We also listed a list of tool we will use. Then we gathered at a room with a smart broad and start to film.

Math Movie “Can You Find It?”
Math can be adapted to a new theme and new way to present, solve and explain the problem. We adapted a scene from “Star Wars” into a math problem by using Trigonometry ratio and Mirror reflection.

What Were The Challenges Of Making Our Star Wars Math Movie? What Part I Enjoy?
My group and I had many challenges in making our Star Wars math movie. Some of the challenges were when we created our problem, we had to check the internet and find out the exact height of each character in our problem. When we did that, we had to improvise our problem because the calculations were not correct. One of the great challenges we did was to create two problems out of one to confuse people, and we accomplish that from working hard. Sometimes working in our group might be challenging but we get alone as we work together. One more challenge we had was to help each other finish our work, and we had to keep track of who did what? Finally, our last challenge was in filming. When we were filming, we made some mistakes and we had to re-film it to fix it which it waste work time.
In this project, I enjoy making the problem and the film most. Because, when making our problem, we had to find a good problem first. Finding a problem was fun because we had to look through the Star Wars movies and pictures. Filming, was fun for me too, because when we were filming our movie it was fun and we had fun.
We use this app Imovie to make our math movie.

What Is DNA?
DNA is the hereditary material in humans and almost all other organisms. Nearly every cell in a person’s body has the same DNA. Most DNA is located in the cell nucleus (where it is called nuclear DNA), but a small amount of DNA can also be found in the mitochondria (where it is called mitochondrial DNA or mDNA).He is a long molecule that contains our unique genetic code.
How Important Is DNA?
DNA make we alive and unique.It do organism cell division ’’growth’’ it’s look like a recipe book it holds the instructions for making all the proteins in our bodies.
